New Trend: Watercolor Nail Art

I am sure watercolor nail art was invented before now, in fact Karen at beautygeeks showed us Janine’s post on Leeanne Colley’s waterworks back in 2011. Nevertheless the trend is reemerging!

I found this cool Formula X by Sephora Infinite Ombré kit and wondered if I already had similar supplies in my stash. To the Duperatory! (The Dupe Labaratory)

I am ELATED by the results!  However did she do it?!

I laid down one coat of chrome polish (I used Pure Ice Silver Mercedes) and then, using small brush strokes, wipe a thin layer of color across the nail in patches. I recommend sheer tints but didn’t have any so I used the following crellies, jelly toppers and foil polish: Sinful Colors Embers Only, Sinful Colors Exotic Green, Sinful Colors Love Nails, Sinful Colors Courtney Orange, and FingerPaints Hula Aruba. Seal with top coat, and you’re done! I used L’Oréal Extraordinaire Gel-Lacque.
How much do you love it? Will you try it yourself?
