Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hunger Flames

Move over Katniss Everdeen! Make way for Catnip Evergreen, because here comes a pun-named nail polish based on the Hunger Games franchise.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hunger Flames is a vibrant magenta creme with micro shimmer that almost makes it look metallic. The end result is an irresistible finish that gleams in the sunlight and glows in the light of your cubicle.
The formula requires no base coat, just two easy coats of color, and is made to last 7-10 days (or according to my wear test, 5 business days) when you add a layer of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat. This top coat is so quick-drying, smooth-applying, and long-lasting, its dependability earned it the title of one of Karen Falcon ManiGeek’s favorite top coats ever. I notice that the translucent nylon brush picks up some color whenever you paint over its complementing polish, but it doesn’t seem to tint or taint the top coat. It’s in a covered, black bottle so the ingredients may be sensitive to sunlight. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Sporting long-wear colors like this gives me a chance to grow my nails a couple more millimeters than usual and practice self-restraint from dousing my tips in acetone and re painting immediately, which I consider a two-day zen mediation practice.
