My Holy Grail Mascara Combo

Right now there are a handful of mascaras that I can use on their own to deliver great results, but so far in my makeup history there is only ONE combination of two mascaras that gives me the definition, volume, and (most importantly) the length that makes my eyes stand out and lashes look their best! Here it is:

I prime the lashes by coating them with Physician’s Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara in “Ultra Black Organics”.

The dense plastic bristles make sure to grab every lash when I wiggle the wand back and forth from eyelid to tip of the lash. Alone this mascara leaves a nice, natural look, like Maybelline Full ‘N Soft does. The formula is slightly dry, and even though you have volume you don’t necessarily have definition or length. That’s why you add the finisher:

Maybelline Volum’Express The Rocket Mascara in “Very Black”. This is a very wet mascara with those plastic fingers on the wand brush that I love. With a coat or two of this stuff over the first mascara, I start to see amazing length. There will be a little bit of clumping, but the wand is tapered, so I can separate lashes with it as I apply.

Together these two mascaras are unstoppable! No flaking or smudging and it all washes off easily. What is your favorite mascara combo? If you have tried this one, let me know what you think!
