The Essie Spring 2015 Flowerista collection is available everywhere this month, and I have two out of the six lovely colors. How did I snag such recent releases when I refuse to play full price? (Je REFUSE). Two mini bottles were available at my local Lot-Less for an affordable $1.49. Score!
Essie Petal Pushers is a lovely grayish-purple creme that applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats. Essie Blossom Dandy is a vibrant aqua creme with the same darling formula. Together with pinkish-nude Essie Urban Jungle (Summer 2014 Haute in the Heat collection) and a fun matte glitter polish called Sally Hansen Paint Party (Summer 2014 Color Frenzy collection) I made some cool floral nail art!
Here is the flower mani in broad daylight. It’s so great to see the sun again!
Okay I spy some air bubbles on the middle finger and thumb. Those pesky dark dots are the result of too many layers of top coat! I was trying to get the matte glitter to lay down and not feel so rough. I had fun with the quick-drying time of my new bottle of HK Girl Top coat, so no regrets! But next time I will be more careful.
And here are the colors in action on People Now!
Just another reminder that it is always worth it to swing by your local discount beauty stores periodically and discover some hidden on-trend gems!
