Review: Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Limited Edition Silver Lake Megalast Nail Color Collection

Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Limited Edition Silver Lake Megalast Nail Color Collection

This is the first collection I have bought new during the month it was out! Wet n Wild is an affordable brand, and the Megalast line retails for $1.99 in most places.

Look at these lovely spring colors! This Silver Lake collection is Limited Edition so it may be hard to find. I scooped these up the very second I saw them because it was the fourth Walgreens I checked! It turns out I forgot one nude creme–A Latte Love. Oh well–can’t win ’em all! The names sometimes don’t suit the colors, but they fit a Los Angeles theme (or specifically the residents of the town, Los Angelinos), which makes it fun.

Wet n Wild Reject the Mainstream is a warm lilac creme that is opaque in two coats.

Wet n Wild Warm Filter is such an opaque, vibrant coral creme it seems much better suited for summer. Great news about this color: it’s a one-coat-wonder!

Wet n Wild Tree Hugger is a gorgeous, soft mint green creme. Opaque in two to three coats.

Wet n Wild Wear Skinny Jeans is a darling periwinkle blue creme with shimmer you can see in the bottle but it disappears on the nail. Applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats.

Lastly, Wet n Wild Stream of Consciousness is a soft, sheer, baby pink creme with visible shimmer both in the bottle and on the nail! It is similar to other nude-leaning pinks I had by Essie. Be sure to view my comparison swatch to see if you should scoop up this Limited Edition collection or skip it in favor of a color you already have in your stash! This was the color I thought looked so close to A Latte Love I overlooked the fact that they were two different shades.
