Just wait teal you see this!
Essie Ruffles and Feathers is a vibrant peacock green (bright teal) from the Haute in the Heat Collection Summer 2014. It applies smoothly, is opaque in two coats, and if you get any streaking (sometimes applying the polish too slowly allows it to thicken) it self-levels on the nail for a glossy finish. Love!
I scored my bottle at a discount store called Lot-Less, which is a recurring theme here on the blog. I have only been wearing Essie for a year or two, but the more I learn the more it seems their collections tend to have a specific roster of color characters. There’s always The Saucy One–a warm color like a pink or red; The Sophisticated One–a work-appropriate beige, gray or taupe; The Cool One–a blue or green or purple, The Wild One–an orange, The Angelic One–a delicate soft pink or off-white.
This about sums it up: now that some time has passed you can score a gorgeous color like this one at discount stores. I found mine at Lot-Less in NYC.

What is the first color you lean towards in an Essie summer release? The berry, the nude, the blue/green?
